Lawrence V. Ashe

Larry brings nearly 35 years of complex litigation experience to Zigler Law Group, with 20 years of that experience as a partner at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP.


He has successfully litigated cases involving antitrust, complex commercial, franchise, distribution, and intellectual property matters, in courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States.


His work at the firm often leverages his business background, particularly when it comes to extensive discovery of company records and depositions of key employees.


Some of Larry’s matters include:


  • Represented victims of the Surfside Condominium collapse

  • Lead counsel representing independent pharmacies in antitrust and contract actions against Express Scripts and CVS for their actions as pharmacy benefits managers in an alleged collusive group boycott of those pharmacies

  • Lead counsel representing disease management company against Florida Agency for Health Care Administration for breach of management agreement

  • Extensive experience representing individual franchise and distribution businesses as well as association class actions in litigation against franchisors and distributors, including cases against Burger King, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, Subway, Popeyes, Roasters, Ramada, Holiday Inn, Howard Johnson, Exxon, 7 Eleven, Jani-King, Tutor Time, Fantastic Sams, Roto Rooter, Coca-Cola bottlers, and many others

  • Enforcement and defense of trademarks and other intellectual property for retail merchandise and services, internet domain names, hotels, restaurants, healthcare products, a nightclub, and many others

  • Lead and participated on trial teams for multi-million dollar claims of trade secrets theft, unfair competition, deceptive trade practices, tortious interference with business opportunities, breach of fiduciary duty, defamation, and unjust enrichment

  • Counseled many clients pre-litigation (and in the avoidance of litigation) on license agreements, lease agreements, supply agreements, partnerships, distribution agreements, and participation agreements.


Larry received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School. He received his MBA from George Washington University.  He received his law degree from University of Miami School of Law where he was Special Articles and Comments Editor for the Inter-American Law Review.


Larry is admitted to the Florida State Bar.
