Kevin McCormack

Kevin McCormack focuses his practice on representing consumers in complex civil litigation. He has extensive experience in high-stakes, high-profile litigation against corporations and governmental entities. Kevin has experience in all aspects of litigation from pre-filing discovery to post-trial appeals. He has been appointed class counsel and lead class counsel by federal courts in cases involving the privacy of protected health information, patients' rights to access their information, and overbilling. He has represented individuals harmed by government and police overreach, successfully prosecuting cases in federal trial courts and on precedent-setting appeals.


Kevin earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Rhodes College, his J.D. from the University of Memphis Law School, and his LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution, with highest honors, from the George Washington University School of Law. In his first jury trial, Kevin's team won a $7.2 million dollar verdict for a child harmed by a defective medical device. He has represented patients nationwide harmed by defective medical devices and pharmaceuticals.


As an attorney working in the intersection of law and technology, Kevin counsels businesses and individuals about their rights under new and emerging data privacy laws. Kevin is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and a certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He has taught numerous continuing legal education courses to other attorneys and has taught trial and litigation skills to students seeking to enter the profession. Kevin has received recognition of his peers by multi-year selection as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" and as a member of the American Inns of Court.


Kevin is licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee and engages in federal practice only in the state of Illinois.
